Like tax progression: the price is split into bands and each band gets its own rate. The whole amount is never charged at a single rate. Above CHF 200'000 the fee stops growing.
Example: sale for CHF 20'000
Marginal fee = the rate on the top band (bottom 8 %, top 4 %). Effective rate = what you actually pay in the end (fee ÷ price). The two differ because the lower bands are charged at a higher rate.
The sales service is open to private individuals resident in Switzerland who are not registered for VAT. Commercial sellers use the dealer subscription: CHF 49 per month, or CHF 528 for a year paid up front, which works out at CHF 44 per month. It includes a dealer profile, statistics, messaging and up to five active listings up to CHF 20'000. More expensive machines and every listing beyond the fifth carry a monthly surcharge. Boosters are charged when booked, whether or not the robot sells. If you sell before the booster expires, there is no pro-rata refund.
How long does a listing run?
Ten days. You then renew it free of charge for seven days at a time, up to ten times, so eighty days at most. We remind you seven days and one day before it expires, and the listing can renew itself automatically if you want.
What does advertising on the home page cost?
A slot costs CHF 1'500 plus VAT for thirty days. There are three slots, each exclusive and without rotation. Every advert is reviewed before it goes live.
What does listing cost?
Nothing. Publishing a listing on robothub24 is always free — you only pay a fee if you actually sell.
When is the fee due?
On a successful sale, from the first franc. The marginal rate starts at 8 % and slides down to 4 %.
Why does the rate fall as the price rises?
So that high-value robots stay fair. The fee is calculated in bands (like tax progression): the lowest band at 8 %, each higher band at a lower rate, down to 4 %. A cheaper sale therefore never costs more than a more expensive one.
Who pays the fee — buyer or seller?
The seller, after the sale. The purchase price itself is settled directly between buyer and seller and never passes through us.
And for very expensive robots above CHF 200'000?
The fee is capped: it stays at CHF 12'972 incl. VAT, no matter how high the sale price. For a secure handover we can arrange a licensed escrow agent on request.
Who can use the sales service?
Private individuals resident in Switzerland who are not registered for VAT. Accounts with a VAT number use the listing offer for commercial sellers.
