The Tian Yi 2.0 is a wheeled humanoid from X-Humanoid, Beijing's innovation center for humanoid robots. It combines a human-like upper body for interaction and manipulation with a mobile platform for indoor navigation.

Technology and AI

The robot performs patrols and inspections using visible light detection and thermal imaging, and can leverage large models to adapt which objects it should recognize. A standout feature is its autonomous operation of elevators without structural modifications — the robot detects the lift, presses buttons, uses access cards, and navigates independently through multi-story buildings.

Market Significance

The Tian Yi 2.0, together with the model Tien Kung 2.0, is already in use on an unmanned production line at Foton Cummins' engine plant. There, the robots handle picking up, transporting, and placing containers, adapting to various shelf heights and container types.
